General broadcast push messages are becoming less relevant, especially when it comes to coupons and promotional deals. We’re now in a mobile marketing era where consumers expect highly-targeted marketing messages when and where they matter most.

Objective

SnipSnap, a popular mobile couponing app, was looking to increase foot traffic to stores and drive in-store coupon redemptions.

Solution

The campaign utilized Gimbal’s proprietary location platform to set up custom geofences around retailer stores.

Push notifications were targeted based on location triggers to inform app users of coupons when they are in close proximity to a store.

  • The campaign generated a 233% increase in open rates with location triggers
