Relationship Brings Together Two Category Leaders In Enhancing The Sports Fan’s Experience

SAN DIEGO – June 17, 2014 – Gimbal, Inc., the leader in contextual awareness and proximity mobile engagement; and YinzCam, Inc. the leading developer and reseller of mobile interactive in-game sports technology applications, today announced an official partnership to deliver leading-edge interactive in-venue experiences for sports fans nationwide. YinzCam will integrate the Gimbal platform including proximity beacons with Apple’s iBeacon technology into participating professional sports teams and league apps throughout the NBA, NFL, NHL and NRL (Australia).

YinzCam, a Gimbal-preferred developer for sports and entertainment applications, currently provides 86 team and venue applications, including 26 from the NFL, and through this partnership, will offer a compelling in-venue experience for the fan that will be enhanced through the team app. This includes providing fans with geo-targeted and proximity-enhanced mobile experiences. Anything from welcoming consumers to the stadium as they arrive, to offering discounts from the team store as they walk by, interactive exhibits, determining concession lines and wait times, and providing unique content and offers to loyal fans.

Gimbal, a YinzCam-preferred contextual-awareness and proximity platform, will enable a proximity experience inside and outside of the stadium environment by leveraging geofences and beacons to engage fans at team-affiliated locations. Gimbal-enabled YinzCam applications will provide fans with digital content related to their physical environment on an app that already offers real-time stats, multimedia and more – giving them the ultimate value and in-venue experience.
