LOS ANGELES, November 4, 2021 – true[X] + Gimbal, a technology company that is reinventing omnichannel experiences by focusing on value exchanges that respect consumers’ time and attention, has appointed Christa Carone as President and Laurel Rossi as Chief Marketing Officer.

Their experiences strategically align with the company’s commitment to leading a technological revolution in the advertising industry. By matching brands’ needs for greater effectiveness with consumers’ desire for more relevant, high-value interactions, true[X] + Gimbal continue to invest in innovative products as traditional media and advertising services become obsolete at an accelerated rate.

“We are building an entirely new company – an organization that meets advertisers’, publishers’ and agencies’ needs for frictionless, high-value, and data-driven solutions. We set out to hire the very best leaders and innovators, and we feel fortunate to have Christa and Laurel on our team,” said CEO Scott Dillon.

Carone brings a wealth of strategic and operational leadership experience with a proven track record developing new economy businesses. Most recently, she served as the President of CSM Sport & Entertainment North America. Prior to this role, Carone was president of Group Nine Media, leading business operations and revenue strategies for one of the world’s largest digital media companies. She offers a unique client-first perspective from her earlier roles as  executive vice president of communications and brand marketing at Fidelity Investments and chief marketing officer of Xerox Corporation

“The technological foundations of true[X] + Gimbal have supported breakthroughs in engagement and performance-driven marketing,” said Carone. “Through our addressable media, first-party data sources, award-winning creative and deep expertise in the nuances of CTV, I’m so impressed with the ways we partner with clients and publishers to win consumers’ attention and encourage them to take action. By leveraging the intellectual property and talent of both companies, we’re shifting the paradigms in advertising and delivering an unparalleled value exchange between brands and consumers.”

Rossi, an award-winning advertising and digital-first marketing expert, brings experience operationalizing agency businesses, creating disruptive marketing approaches, building brands, and working with leaders like Verizon, Boehringer Ingelheim, Citi, Revlon, ATT, and Amgen. Rossi joins true[X] from Omnicom, where she was the Chief Partnerships Officer at Organic – part of Omnicom’s Precision Marketing Group – and the Chief Marketing Officer at OMD. She also brings a wealth of experience in DEI, particularly in the disability inclusion space. Rossi will focus on uniting the true[X] and Gimbal brands to align with the future vision of the company and the expansion, application, and management of their market-leading products.

“I have had the privilege of leading brands and agencies, and I believe that solving marketing problems today requires something entirely new, specifically products that can offer an elegant combination of technology, data, creativity, and new media solutions. Our new company is one of the few organizations poised to deliver on every dimension required for modern marketers to succeed,” said Rossi.

“When we decided to build the new company, we committed ourselves to investing heavily in technology and data that our clients can’t find anywhere else,” said Rob Emrich, founder of Gimbal, and Executive Chair of the combined company. Having Christa and Laurel on the team will propel our vision to build solutions that respect the demand on consumers’ time, attention, and privacy and that deliver extraordinary results without compromise.”
